The Voice of CCNU The welcoming ceremony of School of Chemistry has been held successfully at the chemistry building on 10 October. This activity was launched and undertaken by Committee of the Communist Youth League of the School of Chemistry as well as the art department of its student union, which aimed to provide a stage for students to exhibit their talents and confidence. The guests who attended the campaign including Xu Fen (Deputy Party Secretary), Ma Ying (Secretary of Youth League Committee), An Xiaolei (instructor of 2017), Nie Min, Sun Yulin (instructors of 2020), Zhu Chengzhou, Cai Meng, Wang Fan, Deng Yanhui and Liu Min (head teachers of 2020). Moreover, all of the freshmen as well as part of graduate students have participate.
The ceremony was consisted of 3 parts— Youth, Striving and Future, which made the audiences extremely immersed themselves in this activity. In terms of diverse programs, the Clover Anime Club, the Social Dance Association, Mengxiang Art Association, Wushu Association, Gouweicao Ocarina Club and Zhiyin Harmonica Club have been invited to present talent shows, furthermore, plays performed by both freshmen and senior students.
The event began with the dance Lamb, which lit up the enthusiasm of all the audiences. Afterwards, a speech from Yang Fen was given which comprised her appreciation for their outstanding performance in military training, anticipation of their future lives in the CCNU and her sincere wishes to all the freshmen.
In the first part of the ceremony was Youth. A song and declamation named as ‘Meet Your Future Self’ was demonstrated trated by four freshmen (Yang Xiaoke, Ryan Jingyi, Zhang Xinrui, Ma Kevin). Then the program called ‘The Dance of Friendship’ was presented by members from the Social Dance Association. Following that, Ge Quanchao made an presentation which express what he had learnt from the military training as well as his determination of the future as the representative of all the freshmen.
When it came to the second part ‘Striving’, the cooperative program named ‘Fortunately, You’re Here’ and a scene play called ‘Virus’ were performed. Members for Wushu Association also demonstrated their performance, Ode to Gallantry. In the last part of this ceremony, a marvelous song called ‘Gold&Black’ was showed by singers from Mengxiang Art Association as well as a hot dance called ‘Would You Join the Dance’. Eventually, the activity was ended by a song mix, which brought the ceremony to its acme. Plenty of students just turned on the flashlight of their phones, and participated in the song.
Till then, the welcoming ceremony of the School of Chemistry has ended. After the activity, a freshman called An Xin expressed his honor to enter the School of Chemistry, also his gratitude to this warm welcoming. (correspondent Zhou Dan and Zhu Bingqian)
