On the afternoon of November 12th, the fifth career publicity week and “Awaken Careers” counselling demonstration class was held successfully at the conference hall on the first floor of the Nanhu Complex Building. This career publicity week was sponsored by the Student Admission and Employment Office of CCNU, and was hosted by School of Foreign Languages, School of Sociology, School of History and Culture, School of Psychology and School of Life Sciences, which was designed to thoroughly carry out the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivating students, lead students to develop correct career view, cultivate their ability to develop their career and make their decisions and help students to realize their life goals. There were lots of people attending this opening ceremony and demonstration class, including Peng Shuangjie, the Vice President of CCNU, Wang Maosheng, director of the Student Admission and Employment Office, Li Yun, secretary of the Party Committee of School of Foreign Languages, Lang Dongpeng and Qin Shitai, deputy directors of the Student Admission and Employment Office, persons in charge of employment work of each student teaching unit, all full-time teachers and part-time teachers of career development and employment guidance courses, counselors of the fresh men both undergraduate and graduate students of each schools and all undergraduate freshmen of School of Foreign Languages of 2020.
Before the opening ceremony, all the attendees watched the promotional video of the fifth career publicity week. The promotional video comprehensively reviewed the past activities regarding "major learning and personal interest", "self-planning and social need" and other problems. Some employment guidance teachers and students shared their preliminary answers with students on the scene according to their personal experiences and opinions. After the promotional video, all the attendees stood up respectfully to sing the national anthem together. Then the opening ceremony formally started.

She encouraged the students to develop in a diversified way and plan themselves, to have a clear understanding of themselves in practice in order to achieve ideological firmness and behavioral confidence, and to make suitable career planning on the basis of full reference to experience and guidance.

In the End, Peng Shuangjie, the Vice President, made a concluding speech for the conference. He pointed out that the career planning of college students was of great significance. It was essential to the Double First-Class construction of CCNU and even to the national rejuvenation and the needs of the times for young people to make clear their own position and set up their ideals of life. At the same time, he affirmed the great attention and correct guidance of the schools undertaking the activity to the students' career planning, and expressed ardent expectations for the construction of a more professional and more diversified career guidance education system and future development of students of CCNU.
