On the evening of 12th March, the lecture for the 10th Wenxin Student Research Training Program Competition which was launched by the Communist Youth League Committee of School of Chinese Language and Literature and taken by the Academic Innovation and Labor Education Center of School of Literature was held in the No. 2201 classroom. For this speech, we have invited Wu Qiangxian (post-doctor of Michigan State University, professor for the Macromolecule Science Lab of the Applied Chemistry Department of School of Chemistry as well as instructor for the doctors) to host this event. This activity aimed to give guidance for the students from School of Chinese Language and Literature, meanwhile, reply the questions about this competition.

The lecture began with the self-introduction of teacher Wu Qiangxian, then he shared some of the achievement and special approaches to study English that he gained in the process of his learning. He said: “We ought to possess perseverance as well as passion no matter for studying or research.” Simultaneously, he stressed the significance of the action. He pointed out that we should stick to our ideas and put theories into practice during this innovation and entrepreneurship program.
Afterwards, Wu Qiangxian encouraged audiences to raise questions on-and-off line and offered his replies. Firstly, he answered the questions about the directions of scientific research for the literature students, he said: “Literature could be found everywhere and what the literature students ought to do initially is observing, exploring and discovering. Then, with our inquiry, a new kind of literature could finally be created.” Besides, he responded for how we balance the program and the daily study. He considered that, there is a close link between innovation and learning, so participating some scientific research wouldn’t affect our school work, instead, it assists improving our capabilities.”

At the same time, for what the students cared about the most, Mr.Wu provided a detailed explanation for the scientific research competition . He started with the China College Students' 'Internet+'Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and demonstrated its different groups and sections. Expect for that, he analyzed its various groups, which were creation groups, attempt group, development group and commerce groups, as a key point, then offered his suggestions as well as instruction. Following that, he introduced China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition and encouraged participants to try from different angles by citing his analysis of some papers, in order to stimulate diverse way of thinking and creative inspiration. Eventually, he emphasized the importance of innovation: “It is of its own value, since you have accomplished something that others could not. And everything will go smoothly as long as you have come up with an idea.”

In the end of this interpretation, not only the basic background of this competition was recognized, the will of participation as well as the future goals also were stimulated and cleared. After this lecture, Jiang Xiting, a junior student from School of Chinese Language and Literature, said: “I benefited a lot from this speech, the teacher made me understand the innovation by using these brief cases, and I’m sure that it will assist me with my future studies.”
