On the afternoon of March 25th, the salon of counselors under the theme of "occupational mental health and self-care" was held in Room 401 of the Student Activity Center. The salon was presided over by Wu Yan, teacher from the Affairs Office of Ideology and Politics of the Department of Student Affairs. 14 counselors attended the activity.

The salon specially invited Duan Wenting and Wang Weixin from the Center of Mental Health Education for College Students to give support from the professional point of view. At the beginning of the salon, Duan Wenting stressed the importance of counselors' self-care and put forward strategies and suggestions to teachers from three aspects including situation, cognition and response. She pointed out that in the aspect of situational strategy, teachers could sum up experience from the previous events and cases, increase their knowledge reserve by learning and enhance their sense of self-efficacy. In the aspect of cognitive strategy, teachers should adopt the long-term perspective, actively look for their own resources and environmental resources to obtain support and avoid partial generalization as well as negative emotion. In the aspect of response strategy, teachers should not only be the experiencer of their own emotions, but also be the spectator of their emotions. They should not ignore their own feelings, but should strive to create pleasant moments for them and treat themselves as an important person.

Then, with the guidance of the two teachers from Center of Mental Health Education, the counselors and teachers actively participated in the discussion of the salon and told and shared their own psychological journey since they worked. Wang Qianqian, teacher of the School of Education, told about her work experience from a part-time counselor to a full-time counselor and her ways of relieving pressure. Li Hong, teacher of the School of Information and Journalism, shared his experience of actively seeking support and help from family and friends in the face of pressure. Wang Shiwei, teacher of the Scool of Education, shared her experience in collaboration with her colleagues by making use of their complementary advantages. In addition, the teachers also discussed and exchanged on how to solve the daily anxiety and do a good job in emotion management.

Teacher Duan Wenting and Wang Weixin gave active responses and answers to teachers' puzzles and questions from the professional perspective and encouraged teachers to constantly encourage, affirm and take care of themselves after their daily busy work, so as to realize the self-care and embrace the regular and healthy life.
