On the morning of April 10th, the celebration held by the school of Chinese Language and Literature to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China as well as the fifteenth final drama contest: brave the winds and waves while you are young was successfully held at the fifth floor of the university student activity center. Qing Wei，the deputy secretary of branch Party committee of the school of Chinese Language and Literature, Li Zheli, the secretary of the League Committee. Chen Ruoqian and Bao Siqi, the deputy Secretary of Committee. Lu Fangzhe, Xiao Minjun, Wang Hailong, Li Yuan, the teachers of the school of Chinese Language and Literature were invited to attend this contest.
After the preliminary contest, the four league branches that entered the finals performed on stage successively according to the order of the draw. The limiting time was twenty minutes. Finally, according to the score, the group awarded performers such as the best popularity award, the first, second and third group prizes, and the individual awards such as the best actor and actress, the best supporting actor and actress, the best director and the best screenwriter are decided.
After the opening dance "Jazz meets folk dance" brought by the dance team of the art troupe of the school of Chinese Language and Literature , the contest began. The first performance was "Gong Wu's long march"held by the 2005 branch. This play adopted from the musical play “Wang Er's long march“, which told a story of Gong Wu's understanding of the revolutionary spirit and the long march spirit from one red army after another on his way to deliver a letter to the long march team. Among “no”to evil forces, female comrades who yearned for freedom, and soldiers who joined the army at the age of 12. The unimportant persons’ determined eyes and strong postures lead the audience back to the era of the long march and felt the power of revolution. Next, the play “Wu”brought by key class in Grade 2020 was inspired by the volunteer activities in campus life, which reveals that the key of voluntary service was not whether we could get the volunteer time, but whether we could really achieve the purpose of serving others and society through a story about a couple of sister exchange souls to do community volunteer activities and school volunteer activities respectively.
After the performance of the two branches, Wang Hailong pointed out the highlights and shortcomings of the performance in the script innovation, dance design, actor acting skills and other aspects. In terms of script and dance beauty, “Wu” was a little better. But in terms of acting skills, both branches lacked tension and appeal.
After the lucky draw, the branch of normal class 2003’s play “The road of awakening: through the eighth year of the Republic of China”took the conflict between the protagonist Yang Shu and his girlfriend who came from a red family about career choice as the background, telling a story of Yang Shu woke up and found himself go back to the eighth year of the Republic of China (1919) experienced the diplomatic failure of Paris peace conference with his classmates. These people who devoted their life for the revolution and their motherland have a huge spiritual impact on Yang Shu, who always chased for ease. At the end of the story, Yang Shu who went back to today went to the frontier with his girlfriend.
The play“Yesterday and now, we encouraged each other in CCNU”performed by normal Class 2002 told a story of three generations of CCNU. In 1919, Yun Daiying cried out in the demonstration. In 1990, the “Qian Shou Guan Yang”’s author Yang Xiaoling chose to enter Wuhan No.1 deaf school regardless of high salary after graduated from CCNU. In 2020, Hua Yuchen, a schoolmate of CCNU, made selfless contribution to the volunteer service of anti epidemic in Wuhan shelter hospital. The spirit of "loyalty, erudition, simplicity and fortitude" was being practiced and spreaded by generations of Chinese teachers. In the performance, Yun Daiying's inspiring cry was in everyone's heart, which could last for a long time.
“Perfect.” Qing Wei concluded. He expressed the hope that through a variety of program forms everybody could get knowledge, build up confidence, uphold noble characters by learning Party’s history which expressed by leader Xi. And we should know the history and love the party, know the history and love the country.
In the end, the most exciting part-awarding came. The branch of key class in Grade 2020 won the best popularity award. The branch of the normal class in Grade 2020 won the first prize. So far, the celebration held by the school of Chinese Language and Literature to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China as well as the fifteenth final drama contest ended in a successful way.
