News from the Journalist Group of the School of IT Academy (Correspondent Shi Yingqi Editor An Jianuo) On the evening of October 8, the 2021 freshmen exchange meeting of the School of IT Academy of Central China Normal University was held in N301, Nanhu comprehensive building. Wang Jinghua, the deputy dean of IT Academy, Dong Mingyue, the 2021 undergraduate counselor, and all the 2021 freshmen attended the exchange meeting. The meeting was presided over by Dong Mingyue.

Throughout the conference, Wang Jinghua focused on five questions, step by step, answering freshmen puzzles about computer expertise, explaining the prospects of computer professional development, telling them computer professional class arrangements and key contents, analyzing the institute’s postgraduate entrance examination, postgraduate recommendation and relevant policies for selecting outstanding individuals and advanced individuals, helping freshmen to clear their four-year university study goals and learning priorities, and clarify their future study plans.
At the beginning of the conference, Wang Jinghua used "Why choose computer major?" as the starting point, summarized the reasons and process of freshmen choosing computer major, and fully mobilized the students' interests in this exchange meeting. Dean Wang also gave a detailed interpretation of the development and employment advantages of the computer major based on the relevant charts and data in the employment report of college students, helping freshmen to strengthen their professional beliefs.

Immediately afterwards, Wang Jinghua explained in detail the college’s training plan in response to the students’ questions on "How to plan the four-year learning process of computer major", focused on general education courses, major professional courses, professional elective courses, innovative experimental projects and professional competitions′main time stage and significance, emphasized the relevant matters that must be understood in the four-year study of the university, and clarified the time nodes and related requirements for the postgraduate entrance examination and postgraduate recommendation, production internship, graduation thesis and related requirements for students, and helped freshmen fully realize the next focus of study and direction of effort. Wang Jinghua warned the freshmen: "We must nurture ourselves to become all-rounders, and be a computer person capable of literary and military skills."
Subsequently, Wang Jinghua used vivid metaphors to describe the computer professional class system and the relationship between the courses, and used concise and easy-to-understand mind maps to help freshmen understand the huge computer professional class system. He expressed that to become a computer expert, every student need to "practice internal skills and practice hard skills." Basic courses, software development, network development, hardware development, database development, and artificial intelligence development were interrelated and interrelated. Only by extensive research, deep learning, and professionalism can they become an excellent computer person.
Regarding the question of "how to study in four years of university", Wang Jinghua, based on his deep teaching experience, put forward eight learning suggestions to freshmen, and sent a message to freshmen to try to improve their independent learning ability assiduously; formulate professional directions; effectively use course learning resources; actively participate in all kinds of various scientific research activities, professional competitions and social activities; pay attention to physical training and experimental learning. Wang Jinghua ended his speech with life planning and summarized the main destinations of previous graduates, encouraging freshmen to "open the door to meet new opportunities and challenges, deeper, broader and closer to the goal!".

At the end of the meeting, the freshmen boldly asked questions. Wang Jinghua carefully answered and underlined: "Basic knowledge is very important, the consideration of problems should be more cutting-edge, and the design and planning should be deeper and broader. It is necessary to learn self-learning, self-education, and self-supervision. Accomplish self-growth in the next four years."
So far, the exchange meeting for the 2021 undergraduate freshmen of the School of IT Academy of Central China Normal University has ended successfully.
