Under the educational background of "focusing on the new curriculum, exploring new methods", in order to help students improve their academic performance, optimise the learning process and methods, and cultivate their academic qualities.CCNU's "Silk Road - Dreaming" social practice team conducted study method guidance lectures for the freshmen and sophomores of Hongliu Middle School in Aketao County, Xinjiang from July 3rd to July 5th.The 18 members of the practice team conducted 51 lectures, covering the introduction and explanation of learning methods of language, mathematics, English, literature and science subjects of the college entrance examination, and served more than 2,700 students in Hongliu Middle School.
Based on the school situation to grasp the focus, clear methods to promote the development. The practice team investigated the target audience and local teachers beforehand. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the school's learning situation, the practice team conducted several trial lectures on the content of each subject to enhance the relevance and practicality of the lectures. According to the learning focus of different grades, the lectures were categorised into modules such as time management, study planning, revision strategies and problem solving skills. By combining examples, the team members made the knowledge close to life and integrated it into life, helping students to improve their learning efficiency, enhance their perseverance in learning, aspire to high aspirations, and fulfil their dreams of taking the college entrance examination.
Youth burns hope, knowledge lights up the ideal. In line with the concept of "teaching-oriented, comprehensive education", the practice team took the initiative and went all out. Li Wenjun, a member of the practice team, said: "This practice activity makes me feel the charm of education, and the students' thirst for knowledge also makes me more determined to the original heart of education, and clarify my responsibility and mission. In the two weeks of social practice, we will do our best to light up the students' road ahead."
After the lecture, students expressed their love for the lecturer. It is reported that the "Silk Road - Dream" social practice team was formed by the party committee of Central China Normal University Student Work Department, for six consecutive years, organised nearly a hundred young students of various nationalities to carry out volunteer activities in Xinjiang, to promote the popularity of the common language and writing, understanding of social conditions and public opinion, and training of excellent skills. The practice team also innovatively carries out thematic education, career guidance, mental health education, quality development, visits and research, and other rich practical activities. The practice team has taught 2,786 lessons and served nearly 6,000 local students, encouraging the youth to be educated, grow their talents and make contributions in the practice classroom.
