Personal profile:

He Xinyu, a 2020 undergraduate student majoring in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (normal education), is a member of the Communist Party of China. In the 2022-2023 academic year, he ranked fourth in overall performance. He has been awarded the Boya Jinggui Scholarship and the Yin Gui Scholarship, and has been recognized as an excellent member of the Communist Youth League and a model student of the university for two consecutive years. He has held various leadership positions, including the Department Head of the Student Union of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, the Deputy Director of the Qingzhi Youth League Department, and the Deputy Minister of the Student Club Guidance Center of the university. He has received numerous awards in academic competitions, including the National Second Prize in the 14th National College Student Mathematics Competition, the Provincial Second Prize in the 10th Provincial College Student Mathematics Competition, the National Second Prize in the College English Competition, and the Second Prize in the "Huawen" National Normal University Mathematics Teaching Skills Test for normal education Students, totaling more than 50 awards, including 6 national-level awards and 5 provincial-level awards. He has accumulated nearly 400 hours of voluntary service and social practice in total.

With diligent study and rigorous practice, putting knowledge into action:

With a focus on learning and a commitment to her initial aspirations, He Xinyu has dedicated herself to diligent studies during her three years in university. She has excelled in her major courses, with 60% of her grades surpassing 90 points. However, her pursuit of excellence does not stop there. She has tirelessly practiced and competed in various academic competitions, earning a national second prize in the 14th National College Student Mathematics Competition. The experience gained from these competitions has not only deepened her understanding of the subject matter but also equipped her with the courage and confidence to overcome challenges and tackle difficult problems.

As a normal education student, the cultivation of teaching skills is essential. Faced with the pressure of final exam preparations and limited personal experience, He Xinyu chose to participate in the "Huawen" National Normal University Skills Competition. Ensuring the quality of her preparations in the remaining week was of utmost importance. With guidance from her teachers and the collaborative efforts of her team members, she successfully completed her competition entry and won a second prize. This achievement also laid the foundation for her future role as a peer mentor. "It is a joyful experience to impart the knowledge I have learned to younger students," she says. Bringing knowledge and experience to the podium, her transformation in confidence reflects her personal growth. By engraving knowledge in her heart, she demonstrates her commitment to putting her learning into action.

Seasoned by experience, sacrifices will be rewarded:

"Focus on learning and strive for overall self-improvement." Since getting involved in student affairs in the second semester of her freshman year, He Xinyu has embarked on her journey in student work. From initially knowing nothing to calmly facing challenges after years of experience, she has continuously absorbed knowledge and broadened her horizons through various student activities. Moving from the college to the school level, she regards each new platform as an opportunity for growth and a chance to strengthen her confidence.

"There always has to be some trade-offs, it depends on what you truly want." Faced with the pressures, conflicts, and contradictions between student affairs and academic studies, He Xinyu made the decision to take a break. By temporarily setting aside her involvement in student work, she not only alleviated the pressure on her studies but also provided herself with a better state of living for the future.

Accumulated efforts lead to great achivements:

Not only focusing on personal growth, but He Xinyu also spreads love and care to others. With nearly 400 hours of voluntary service and labor education, it is not only a testament to her outstanding volunteerism but also a collection of precious memories throughout her three years in university. From being a volunteer at the Wuhan Marathon to participating in summer daycare volunteer service activities in the Hongshan District, she firmly believes in the power of growth that accumulates in every tiny act of service.

In addition to voluntary service, social practice enriches He Xinyu's spare time as well. Activities such as "online teaching support" and research and practice in excellent schools have kept her busy. In the process of teaching support, she enters classrooms as a teacher or senior student, imparting knowledge and transforming the process of "learning" into "teaching." This subtle transformation from "receiving" to "giving" has become a two-way cycle of teaching and learning for her. The busy yet meaningful voluntary service and practice activities, like drops of rain, accumulate over time and converge into a river, accompanying her growth.

Words of wisdom:

No matter how rough and uneven the road ahead may be, as long as we are headed in the right direction, we are closer to happiness than standing still. I am not naturally brave, but I know that I cannot remain stagnant because there are better and more exciting things waiting for me up ahead. Every step forward may require hard work and sacrifice, but when I look back, every brick and tile I laid down becomes the solid armor I wear today. So please, keep moving forward, step by step, with stability and composure. Build from nothing to something, and from something to excellence.
