（The Vioce of CCNU）To guide students across all grades in clarifying their academic goals for the new semester and implement targeted theme-based education tailored to the developmental characteristics of students at different grade levels, the undergraduate divisions of the Music School have organized structured new semester evening roll call sessions at the beginning of this academic term. Counselors inspired students by quoting iconic lines from the animated film Nezha: I Am the Destiny, encouraging them to bravely pursue their dreams and overcome challenges throughout the new semester.
At the 2024 undergraduate evening roll call, Counselor Yan Chuhong encouraged students not to be confined by external expectations, urging them to explore future development paths aligned with personal interests. He emphasized actively expanding their competency boundaries during their university journey to gradually achieve personal growth.
At the Class of 2023 undergraduate evening roll call, students Pan Gaoshenghan, Qiu Jiahuan, Zhang Can, and Liu Xinyi shared their winter break practical experiences. Counselor Zhou Cancan encouraged all students not to shrink from difficulties, urging them to embrace challenges courageously and confront obstacles with determination.
The junior year constitutes a crucial phase for clarifying academic directions and deepening professional specialization. During the evening roll call, Counselor Chen Gongzezu for the Class of 2022 and Liu Xinyi from the Class of 2021 delivered an in-depth analysis of career planning and employment guidance. They urged students to systematically develop career blueprints, proactively monitor employment opportunities, and strategically accumulate practical experience, while emphasizing the importance of courageous self-definition in shaping one’s life trajectory.
The senior year marks the culminating phase of academic pursuit and harvest, where students navigate critical decisions regarding graduation, employment, or advanced studies. Counselor Guo Kunyi for the Class of 2021 advised undergraduates to meticulously complete their thesis defenses while actively preparing for career pursuits or postgraduate examinations, extending best wishes for their successful transition into post-graduate life and the completion of their collegiate journey with distinction.
In the coming weeks, the School’s student organizations - including the Party Branch, Student Union, Graduate Association, and Aiyue Psychological Support Center - will orchestrate multi-tiered, multi-dimensional, and diversified initiatives. These programs aim to guide students in establishing clear developmental trajectories, formulating strategic plans, and embracing challenges with proactive mindsets, ultimately composing splendid chapters that exemplify the excellence of Guiyin scholars.
