The Voice of CCNU.On the morning of March 28, the 5th Counselor Salon of 2025 at Central China Normal University was held in the conference room on the second floor of Yifu International Conference Center. Hosted by the Party Committee Student Work Department (Graduate Work Department) and organized by the School of Mathematics and Statistics, the salon was delivered by Niijat Amat, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Business Administration at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and the "Most Beautiful University Counselor" in 2022, and Xu Yiling, a graduate counselor at the School of Business Administration of the same university and a "Top 10 Role Model" of the 2024 National Training Camp for University Counselors' Quality and Capacity Enhancement. Liang Fangyong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of History and Culture, Yang Kejun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, and over 30 full-time and part-time counselors from the university attended the event, which was chaired by Yang Kejun.

Niijat Amat shared insights on "building a community for ideological and political education to carry out ideological guidance for college students." He outlined his experience in creating such a community—characterized by "one team, two orientations, three platforms, four functional types, and five advantages"—to achieve barrier-free ideological and political work that unites hearts. Niijat stressed the importance of identifying "ideological and political elements in daily life," such as campus events, cultural activities, or even routine interactions, to transform mundane moments into educational opportunities. He also urged counselors to "elevate the vision of ideological and political work," moving beyond superficial guidance to cultivate students' patriotic spirit, social responsibility, and critical thinking.

Xu Yiling shifted the focus to practical skills, drawing from her intensive preparation for the Counselors' Quality and Capacity Competition—a national stage where counselors demonstrate expertise in case analysis, crisis management, and student communication. She noted that in response to the current reform trends of the national competition, counselors need to accumulate more practical experience and engage in deeper reflection. She encouraged counselors to cherish competition opportunities, using the preparation and participation process to study theoretical and practical knowledge, and enhance their professional literacy and educational capabilities.

During the interactive discussion, attending counselors actively asked questions, creating a lively atmosphere. In his concluding remarks, Liang Fangyong expressed gratitude to the keynote speakers and stressed the need to "connect with students' hearts, empathize with them," and conduct ideological and political work that is "grounded, profound, and visionary." He also emphasized serving disciplinary construction and cultivating top innovative talents.
