Building on the theme of the first session, "Embracing the AI Era, Preserving the Warmth of Education," this reading club focused on 66 Questions About AI Workplace Applications, an analysis of the current usage of DeepSeek among university counselors, and the demands of student work, providing guidance and discussion. Attendees included Li Diao, Deputy Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Director of the Ideological and Political Education Department; Wu Jiancheng, Deputy Director of the Office of Student Affairs; Xiang Anling, author of 66 Questions About AI Workplace Applications; Shen Wei, Associate Professor at the Language and Language Education Research Center; Shao Lili, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Marxism; Cheng Xiuli, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Journalism and Communication; Su Chunyan, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Education; and 11 full-time and part-time counselors from the university. The event was chaired by Shao Lili, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Marxism.

At the beginning of the reading session, Li Diao, Deputy Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Director of the Ideological and Political Education Department, delivered an opening speech. He expressed sincere gratitude to Shen Wei for sharing valuable insights with the counselor team and hoped that the discussion would inspire new ideas for ideological and political work. Li emphasized that the series of reading clubs aims to help counselors step back from their busy routines, broaden their horizons, and gain fresh perspectives to advance their professional development. He noted that in the era of rapid AI advancement, ideological and political educators must explore how to use AI to help innovation in their work. Finally, he hoped the event would spark inspiration and encourage creative approaches in future counselor work.

The reading session featured a special appearance by Xiang Anling, author of 66 Questions About AI Workplace Applications and Assistant Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication at Minzu University of China, who interacted across time and space via highly realistic digital data. Xiang stated, "What defeats you is not AI, but those who know how to use it." She highlighted that as AI tools like DeepSeek and ChatGPT proliferate, AI is permeating every aspect of work and life at an unprecedented pace. In this context, the key question is how to emphasize human value and adaptability. To address this, Xiang outlined AI applications in the workplace and shared practical tips in her book, based on testing over 100 AI tools. She hopes to provide hands-on guidance to help professionals integrate AI into their daily work effectively. She also invited attendees to explore creating personal digital avatars and looked forward to future offline discussions.

During the keynote speakers sharing session, Shen Wei, Associate Professor at the Language and Language Education Research Center, delivered a presentation titled "Enlightening the Future: A Digital Analysis and Interaction with DeepSeek." His talk covered eight topics, including an analysis of the era's background, pre-lecture survey results, and the positioning and usage of DeepSeek. In the AI agent construction segment, Shen guided participants through live computer demonstrations to address practical challenges in daily management, student work, and teaching research. By simplifying complex technologies with intuitive tools, he deepened the audience's understanding. The Q&A session saw enthusiastic participation, with Shen showcasing AI applications in literature review, PPT creation, and mind mapping, creating a vibrant learning atmosphere.

At the conclusion of the event, Shao Lili, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Marxism, shared her reflections. She extended heartfelt thanks to the experts and counselors in attendance, noting that the AI era presents significant challenges for counselors. Leveraging AI to enhance efficiency is a critical task for the entire team. She praised the event's innovative format and lively interactions, expressing confidence that all participants gained valuable insights. Moving forward, the school will continue to refine the reading session, connecting it closely with the practical needs of counselors to further elevate the quality of the team.
