This year is an extremely unusual year. Apart from the global explosion of Covid-19, Sun Yang，a distinguished swimmer, was suspended. On February 28th, 2020, Sun Yang was forbidden to join any swimming contest by CAS(Court of Arbitration for Sport). Now, let me show what has happened about Sun.
2020年是极不平凡的一年，除了新冠病毒的全球性爆发之外，更有孙杨——一位优秀的游泳运动员——被禁赛。2020年2月28日，孙杨被国际体育仲裁法庭宣布禁赛8年。今天就由小编带领大家来梳理梳理孙杨事件。
This incident can date back to 2018.
事情要追溯到2018年。
On September 4th, 2018, entrusted by WADA, three clerks from IDTM(DCO, DCA and BCA) arrived at Sun’s dwelling for anti-doping test. However, the test was discontinued because Sun suspected the qualification of clerks. After that, IDTM reported towards FINA that Sun “toughly” refused anti-doping test and destroyed the sample. And its detail follows.
2018年9月4号，受国际反兴奋剂机构（WADA）委托，兴奋剂检查公司（IDTM）的三名工作人员（主检测官DCO、血检官BCA、尿检官DCA，下文均用英文简称）到孙杨家中进行赛外反兴奋剂检查，但孙杨质疑检查人员资质不再继续检查过程。随后IDTM报告国际泳联说孙杨“暴力抗检”并毁掉了样本瓶。具体细节如下：
Three clerks arrived at Sun’s house to do the anti-doping test during 10 to 11PM. While Sun came back at around 11PM and nearly missed the test，DCO showed her qualification certificate, ID Card and generic letter(FINA issued it to IDTM in 2018), BCA showed her nurse certificate, and DCA show the ID Card. At the beginning, BCA took Sun’s blood sample successfully and put it into cold closet. However, Sun denied DCA’s qualification so that he refused urine sample collection. DCO informed him that if he discontinued the test, he would be seen as refusing test. Also, she was ready to report to her superior. At that time, Sun went to bathroom without DCO’s permission, which was warned by DCO, “This is an extremely serious incident.” Then, Mr. Ba, Sun’s private doctor, arrived. He explained that since DCA and BCA didn’t have formal authorizations, they refused to hand in the blood sample and even decided to destroy it. After that, regardless of DCO’s warning, Sun and a guard broke the cold closet with a hammer. So, DCO required them to fill out an anti-doping form for recording details of this incident, but Sun tore up the form. At the end, DCO finished the record.
检查团队到到孙杨住处，计划在晚上10-11时进行检查，孙杨在11时左右回家，差点错过药检。兴奋剂检查官在孙杨回来后展示了她的资质卡、个人身份证和国际泳联在2018年发给IDTM的通用信函。血样采集助理展示了护士证，兴奋剂检查助理展示了身份证。最开始，血样由BCA成功收集，BCA将收集到的孙杨血样置于冷藏箱内的保险容器中。孙杨不认可DCA的资质，拒绝DCA收集尿样。DCO告知孙杨如果不继续检查程序，可能被视作拒检，并打电话向上级反映情况。期间，孙杨在没有获得许可的情况下独自去洗手间。DCO发现后，警告孙杨这是“性质严重且极度非常规的”。孙杨的巴医生赶到，随后表示DCA和BCA都没有正当授权，因此拒绝带走已完成采集的血样。孙杨和巴医生提出要用锤子破坏血样。不顾DCO的警告，孙杨和一名保安已用锤子破坏了其中一个血液保险容器。DCO要求填写一份纸质的反兴奋剂表格以记录事件经过（表格被孙杨抢走并摧毁），最终DCO记录了当晚经过，并结束了检查任务。
On November 19th, FINA held a hearing to discuss the issue of “Sun’s toughly refusing test”. Both Sun and IDTM were questioned. In IDTM, only DCO joined the hearing through video call, BCA and DCA were absent.
11月19日，国际泳联就孙杨“暴力抗检”问题举行听证会，孙杨和兴奋剂检查公司（IDTM）双方的证人均接受了询问，但是只有DCO通过视频参与听证会，BCA、DCA缺席。
On January 3rd, 2019, FINA decided that Sun had not violated Anti-Doping Rule. FINA also noticed that the award should not be made public pursuant, unless and until the Athlete consented to such disclosure. (However, on January 27th, the issue was reported by Times in UK. And on July 13th, the formal report was made public by The Sunday Telegraph in Australia. )
2019年1月3日，国际泳联做出裁决，认定孙杨不存在违反《世界反兴奋剂条例》的行为。国际泳联在裁决中明确指出，在运动员同意之前，此次听证会的内容绝对保密。（但在1月27日，本应保密的孙杨案裁决被英国《泰晤士报》报道。7月13日，国际泳联针对孙杨药检的官方调查报告由澳大利亚媒体《星期日电讯报》披露。 ）
On March 12th, WADA didn’t accept the consequence and appealed Sun and FINA to CAS. On November 15th, the second hearing was held overtly in Switzerland, but CAS did not announce the decision immediately. On February 28th, 2020, CAS decided that Sun lost the lawsuit and would be banned from any swimming contest in 8 years. The reason was “tampering with any part of Doping Control”.
3月12日，国际反兴奋剂机构反对国际泳联调查小组的裁决，向国际体育仲裁法庭提起上诉，起诉孙杨及国际泳联。11月15日，第二次听证会在瑞士进行，全程公开，但没有立即宣布任何决定。2020年2月28日,CAS正式公布：孙杨败诉，被禁赛八年。禁赛理由是违反兴奋剂控制规定。
