In the evening of 14th March, the activity called Emotional Post was held successfully, which aimed to popularize the knowledge of psychology, enhance the mental health education as well as spread this activity to the whole school. This event directed at the freshmen and the sophomores of College of Urban and Environmental Sciences (CUES in brief) and it was hosted by principal Dai Hemiao.

This lecture was divided into 3 parts. Initially, the students watched the short film named “the Inferiority and the Procrastination”, which made students to make an awareness of the procrastination in our daily lives in a vivid way, rethink our habit from another angle, since the video is a good carrier of emotional phenomenon, and simultaneously, assist the participants with understanding the significance of psychology.

Afterwards, Dai Hemiao made a detailed introduction of the services provided by this project, which included the psychological library, mental cinema, spiritual chatting room and emotional handicraft workshop. Then she explained the procedures for the reservations as well as how to take an efficient consultation. Finally, she conveyed her original mind of this project, which was for the popularization of psychology, in the meantime, for the sustainable development of the mental health education. There was also some gifts for the present students.

After the lecture, a freshmen called Yu Qian shared some of her perspectives: “The misunderstanding and confusion in my mind have been swept away, through watching the psychological play. Now, I’m sure that I can face my procrastination in the future. In fact, this project also provided somewhere for us to have a rest for our spirit, I will take part in other activities of that.”
In this lecture, students have learned how to deal with their procrastination and increased their self-confidence to fight it. Meanwhile, a series of events as well as the methods to make appointments have been cleared. Its smooth launch can also help with the mental health care work and the popularization of the mental care in our school.
