On the afternoon of April 2, the launching ceremony of the first "Strengthening Teachers through the Concepts of Math" project of the School of Mathematics and Statistics was successfully held in the 6401 lecture hall of the School. Han Junhua, director of the Undergraduate College (Student Affairs Department of the Party committee), Wu Mengwen, vice President of the College of Teachers Education, Zheng Gaofeng, vice president of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Li Shugang and Xu Zhangtao, head teachers of the excellent teacher class, and all full-time and part-time counselors of the School attended the activity. The launching ceremony was presided over by Tian Jun, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the Institute of statistics.
The first part of the ceremony was to watch the video of normal students' work review of the School in 2020. The video led them to review the whole process of normal students' training of the School in 2020. In 2020, the School not only successfully passed the three-level certification of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, but also won the honorary title of advanced unit of normal students' training and testing for five consecutive years. The normal students' training work of School was always sticking on the mind of educating students, strengthening the advantages of professional characteristics, focusing on the skills training of normal students, and striving to do a good job in the future teacher training based on the work plan of normal students.
The second part of the ceremony was Zheng Gaofeng's speech. He firstly expressed his recognition of the work of normal students in 2020, and hoped that normal students should firmly establish the concept of discipline and strive to lay a solid professional foundation. He stressed that although the training of normal students has made gratifying achievements, there was still exam oriented education in the current education system. He put forward that in addition to professional learning and skill training, the training of normal students' morality and teacher virtue should also be done well to enhance students' sense of responsibility.
In the third part of the ceremony, Han Junhua and Wu Mengwen presented awards for 2021 excellent interns of the University of School. Professor Xu Zhangtao gave his monograph Analysis of the Core Content of Mathematics Teaching Materials in Middle School for the excellent interns to show encouragement.

In the fourth ceremony, Wang Mingxin, one of the instructors of "Shuyuan" learning and development center, explained the project of "Strengthening Teachers through the Concepts of Math". The project of "Strengthening Teachers through the Concepts of Math" includes three contents: strengthening learning, foundation and skills by the concepts of math. It would carry out activities from the aspects of professional training, skill practice, competition training and so on. In addition, the project has newly set up the training of teacher's morality, virtue and soul construction as well as online punch in practice, which can reflect the new requirements of the School for the work of normal students under the new situation: striving to effectively promote the comprehensive quality and education and teaching ability of normal students through diversified activities.
Qin Shirui then spoke on behalf of the Grade 2019. He reported to all the experience of participating in the normal students activities, and expressed his gratitude to CCNU and School for providing high-quality skills training and good learning environment for normal students. He said that in the process of cultivating normal college students, he deeply realized the importance of practicing teachers' ethics and virtue and cultivating education feelings. 2021 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. He suggested that they should cherish the learning and training opportunities provided by the School's project of "Strengthening Teachers through the Concepts of Math" and strive to be an excellent teacher in the new era.
At the end of the ceremony, the leaders and outstanding intern representatives took a group photo. The formal launch of the first "Strengthening Teachers through the Concepts of Math" project is conducive to the School to continue to innovate the training mechanism of normal students, construct the characteristic talent training mode of the School, and make normal students more clearly understand their educational mission and responsibility. In the future, School’s normal students training work will continue to adhere to the basic work concept of "professional center, output orientation and continuous improvement", do a good job in the export of normal students, and strive to cultivate good teachers in the export of normal students, and strive to cultivate great teachers.
