On the evening of May 7, the Youth League Committee and Student Union of Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education of CCNU held a Mandarin speech contest with the theme of "Reviewing 100 Years of the History of the CPC and Exploring Inheritance Education" in the classroom 7014 of the Nanhu Complex Building. The judges of the competition were Song Chen HongYi, the counselor of the Grade 2020 of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education, Liu Lili, the class director of the 2001 teacher training class of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education, and Wang Yonghan, the senior speaker of the speaking instruction group. The competition was hosted by Song Wenyue.
After the host announced the start of the competition, seven contestants gave their speeches in the order decided by lottery. Hu Yunjie's speech was entitled "Learning from history, the CPC creates the future". His speech was full of emotion and made the audience feel the magnificence of the Communist Party of China's momentous years. From Mohe to Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, he seemed to lead the audience to overlook the great mountains and rivers of the motherland. With the title of "100 Years of the History of the CPC, 100 Years of the History of Education", Zhu Xueli talked about the great achievements of the CPC and the history of education since modern times in a soothing rhythm. Cheng Ranxi gave a speech titled "Education Dream in the Times". She used appropriate body language, well-made slides, and well-converted language rhythm to omnibearingly show all the elements of a wonderful speech.
The atmosphere of the competition became more and more tense. The fourth speaker, Jiang Huiting, started her speech from a popular TV play. Her words were lentissimo and powerful, interspersing poems in her speech entitled "Reviewing the history of the CPC and forging ahead", which added a classical literary flavor to her speech. Li Jianan, who followed her, finished her speech titled "Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China, Keeping the Red Heart". Zhou Yuehong then gave a speech titled "100 Years, Youthful". She used questions which are more interactive to capture the judges' attention and introduced the CPC's centennial development by comparing historical and current reports. The quote from Mr. Lu Xun was a perfect way to heighten the mood in the end. Finally, Huang Shang gave a speech on the theme of "With a Century of Great Cause, Writing a Modern Chapter". She started her speech from the small things around her. Smooth expression and abundant information made her speech detailed and attractive. Without background music, her voice resonated clearly and struck a chord with the audience.
After the contestants finished their speeches, the judges commented on the speech content, dress, pronunciation, intonation and other aspects, and gave the contestants practical and useful suggestions and tips. After the comment, the host announced the winners on the spot: first prize winner Cheng Ranxi; second prize winners Zhou Yuehong and Zhu Xueli; third prize winners Huang Shang, Jiang Huiting, Hu Yunjie and Li Jianan. At this point, the 14th Mandarin Speech Contest of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education of CCNU came to a successful conclusion.
