The Voice of CCNU The seventh live career counseling day of CCNU was held successfully on May, 29. The deputy minister of school and work department of Party committee and director of student affairs Yang Jun, deputy director Lang Dongpeng, deputy secretary of Party committee of school of sociology Kou Na, deputy secretary of Party committee of school of economics and business administration Chen Juan, career counselors in “career prospects”, Shen Juan, Liu Feng, Wang Li, Lu Wen, Jiang Keming, Huang Yining,Guo Jingxiao, Pan Yingzi, Yu Xuan, Re Mila participated in this activity.

Consulting activity was held at the garden opposite the south lake canteen and Yun Daiying fountain square by turns. Students consulted on site concerning study, life and growth confusion. The counselors provided reference suggestions. It was divided into six parts: career exploration, goal positioning, career management, self-exploration, decision and action, and learning consultation. This activity was aimed at helping students enhance their abilities of problem-solving, profession adaption, career-decision. Through consultations, students were guided to tap their own potential and advantages, conduct career exploration and improve job-hunting skills based on personal interests and hobbies.






Counselors guided students to make career planning
It’s known that live career counseling day attracted hundreds of students who are in different majors from two campus. Counselors listened to students’ confusion attentively, analysed their detailed problems and helped them to make choice with great patience in the end. The patience and meticulousness of career counselors not only helped students make clear academic arrangements and career choices about future, but enhanced their confidence and refreshed morale for their career. Through the professional consultation of career counselors, students had a brand-new experience and perception of their own study and life, a clearer understanding of their own positioning, and a more specific plan for their future. The career counseling day was hosted by “career prospect” of CCNU, one of the first featured career counseling studios in China, and co-organized by the school of sociology and the school of economics and business administration.
