To deliver education with warmth, allowing students to create and appreciate beauty through hands-on activities, and to deepen the innovative integration of aesthetic education and mental health education, the Psychological Association (Student) of CCNU hosted the 22nd session of "Heart Power·Happiness Night School"—a psychological group activity centered on twisted bar flower bouquets—on the evening of March 14 at the Flow Space of the One-Stop Student Community Service Center (East 18). The event was led by Song Jiawen, the president of the Psychological Association and a peer mentor of Heart Power, with eight students from across the university participating.

At the beginning of the activity, Song Jiawen encouraged everyone to write down their "art names" on paper, and from then on, they addressed each other by these names, which helped them break the ice. Subsequently, Song Jiawen guided the participants through finger exercises accompanied by soothing music to help them "warm up" their fingers. Next, they played a small game related to hand gestures. As their fingers gradually warmed up, the atmosphere grew increasingly cozy. The winner had the chance to randomly draw a beautifully designed psychological knowledge card, which sparked enthusiasm among the participants. With the atmosphere of laughter and joy, the distance between hearts quietly narrowed.

Then came the main part of the activity—creating flower bouquets with twisted bars. Organizer Song Jiawen first demonstrated how to make the bouquets and introduced various materials, such as flower stamens, floral tape, and ribbons. Everyone unleashed their creativity and imagination, bending ordinary twisted bars into flowers of all kinds of shapes, like roses and daisies, and arranging them into uniquely personalized bouquets. Throughout the process, participants exchanged ideas and expressed admiration for the beauty they created. One student remarked that "I never thought such simple materials could be turned into such exquisite flowers. This activity made me realize the small joys we can create in our daily lives." At the end, everyone held up their handmade bouquets and took a group photo with bright smiles.

So far, the event came to a successful conclusion. It was not only a process of crafting and creation but also a two-sided journey of healing and aesthetics. Wrapping soft twisted bars into the colors of the heart, soothing anxiety through the twists of fingertips, and experiencing the power of art therapy—letting beauty blossom from the hands and happiness flow from the heart!
