On the afternoon of May 18th, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Statistics and Mathematics, Wu Xinghua, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, Chen Ying, counselors Ahmadi Turdi and Shu Xincai, and teaching secretary, Liao Shanshan from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law came to our School of Statistics and Mathematics for an exchange visit. Tian Jun, Deputy Secretary of our Party committee and counselors of all grades of School of Statistics and Mathematics participated in the exchange meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Tian Jun first extended the warm welcome to Wu Xinghua and his team. Then, he introduced the basic situation of our School of Statistics and Mathematics from the aspects of the development history, the discipline construction as well as the honors and achievements and emphasized the employment situation of undergraduates of our School of Statistics and Mathematics at the present. Subsequently, Wu Xinghua also introduced the construction of characteristic brand of the league work and the studio for counselor of the School of Statistics and Mathematics.
At the meeting, the counselors of our school introduced the work from the aspects of the development of league work, the system of subsidizing education and awarding excellent students, the construction of the psychological studio and the construction of the center of convergence media. Subsequently, the two parties shared their own thoughts on work, ideas and innovative measures, and conducted extensive and profound exchanges on the common problems of students. They aroused the heated debate on "how to strengthen the quality of talent training", "how to create characteristics of the league work ", "how to help students clarify their career planning" and other some aspects. In the discussion, Tian Jun mentioned that we integrated student work into all aspects of the cultivation of the talent to serve the high-quality cultivation of the talent.
After the meeting, the two parties both expressed the hope that they would strengthen the exchanges of academic between the teams of student work, learn from each other and jointly promote the construction of student work as well as the personnel training on the basis of frequent academic exchanges between the two schools.
