On the morning of July 11th, an micro film innovation and research practice activity in 2021 with the theme of “Red Memories of Hong’ an” held by the Micro Film Professional Committee of the Academy of Film and Television of Chinese Universities began officially in the Memorial Park of Huangma Uprising and Hubei, Henan and Anhui Soviet. Peng Tao, vice president of the School of Journalism and Communication, led the summer social practice team to attend the launch ceremony.
In the centenary of the founding of the party, in order to carry forward the red gene and promote the red culture, the practice team of “The Red Base Color of Hong‘ an” has studied deeply the centenary-old history of the party through the creation of micro films, with the eyes of the new generation of college students to discover the red memory of the century-old revolution, staying true to our original aspiration, keeping our mission firmly in mind, and forging ahead.
After the opening, Yu Qing, one of the team members expressed the feelings, “standing by the monument of martyrs of the Huangma Uprising and Hubei, Henan and Anhui Soviet, looking at 140000 heroic sacrifice of revolutionary martyrs, and also great countless Hong‘ an people who have not been registered in the record, I deeply realized how brutal the war was. It was the power of Chinese people who founded the party, the army and the country, so that now we can grow up under the red flag and in the spring breeze. Behind our happiness is the blood of revolutionary martyrs. Today, together with students from dozens of universities, we solemnly paid our highest respects to the revolutionary martyrs. Actually, we are the young of the new era who are supposed to take on the responsibility and make sure to live up to our mission and our time.”
Wang Qiuting, a member of the practice team, said, "I have heard of Hong’ an, the county famous for the general for a long time, but I didn't expect that I had the honor to visit this red land twice this year. This time, I made use of my professional ability to film and create videos. I was very excited and felt a great responsibility! During the opening ceremony and learning exchange on the first day, I felt the great attention and strong support from the teams of various universities, instructors and leaders of Hong‘ an, and also had an in-depth understanding of the revolutionary history of Hong‘ an. We should tread the revolutionary land, listen to the stories of the revolution, visit historical sites, look back on the vicissitudes of time, remember tens of thousands of revolutionary heroes, and inherit the red gene of Hong’ an. I hope to create satisfactory works with my team in the next few days, as well as observe the red base color of Hong’ an from the perspective of the youth.”
In the afternoon, the practice team of the School of Journalism and Communication and other universities went to the People's Government of Qiliping Town to discuss the follow-up filming plan with the relevant town leaders. In this interview, members and town leaders determined the time schedule, objects and route and other arrangements of filming.
