On the evening of August 5, the opening ceremony of the online course on psychological crisis prevention and intervention in primary and secondary schools was launched. The training course was guided by the Office of Epidemic Response Leading Group of the Ministry of Education, the Department of Basic Education and the Committee of Mental Health Education Experts for primary and secondary schools, and was organized by the Psychological Assistance Hotline platform of CCNU, the Mental Health Assistance Center of the Ministry of Education. A number of domestic and foreign experts and scholars in the field of mental health education and crisis intervention in primary and secondary schools will give lectures to 1,000 psychological backbone teachers in the field from various provinces and autonomous regions.
Xia Lixin , vice president briefly reviewed the work of the Psychological Assistance Hotline platform of CCNU in his speech. In the past one and a half years, the platform has attracted nearly 4,000 hotline consultants from more than 1,000 universities and related institutions at home and abroad to provide services. It has served 90,000 people, intervened in nearly 1,000 cases of crisis, supervised more than 400,000 people, and served more than 1,000 people in peak period. While continuing to provide public welfare services, the platform has been paying attention to the changes in the psychological adjustment of primary and middle school students in China, and providing professional resources and support for coping with this problem. Besides the traditional psychological hotline, psychological service and psychological assistance, the training course was a measure taken by the platform to solve real problems, meet real needs and promote the solution of problems with a high sense of responsibility and mission. He hoped that students can better master the theoretical basis and technical practice of psychological education and crisis intervention in primary and secondary schools through this training, and improve their professional competence in crisis prevention and intervention work.
Zhou Zongkui, professor in charge of the Psychological Assistance Hotline platform of CCNU under the Ministry of Education, said that the university had integrated and constructed the country's largest, multi-channel, large-capacity and distributed online psychological assistance platform during the epidemic prevention and control period by taking advantage of its own academic advantages of cyber psychology and counseling psychology. It has successfully practiced the psychological aid mode of "government -- university -- professional service", and provided the Chinese model for the global psychological aid service. In the face of the new changes in the current epidemic, he suggested that the staff and backbone teachers of the primary and middle school mental health education should be "concerted", "calm" and "warm hearted". Under the background of the Ministry of Education successively issued the documents to strengthen the management of students' mental health and reduce the burden of homework and after-school training for students in the compulsory education stage, it made sense to think about the development of mental health education in primary and middle schools in the future and the role we must play.
Ma Hongyu, professor of the school of Psychology, introduced the long history of the School of Psychology, the construction of the discipline and the achievements in the field of mental health education in primary and secondary schools. She expected the trainees to improve their competence in crisis prevention and intervention work under the guidance of experts, calmly cope with the new challenges in the current mental health education work in primary and secondary schools, and promote the new development of mental health education work in primary and secondary schools in China.
