In response to the deployment of Wuhan's epidemic prevention policy, from August 4 to 6, the university quickly started the nucleic acid testing work for all students and faculty members. The Party Committee of the School of Life Science attached great importance to the work, and immediately formed two volunteer teams for nucleic acid testing and "sending coolth" to contribute to the overall situation of epidemic prevention and control with a sense of responsibility to do practical things for teachers and students. Recently, the temperature in Wuhan was as high as 39 degrees, and the volunteer team prepared more than 80 boxes of ice for three consecutive days to provide coolness for the medical staff at the nucleic acid testing sites on campus.

The volunteer team took immediate action, and Liu Yang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, led the teachers and students to the ice making room of the College to make adequate material pre-preparations for the activity. Under the guidance and help of Li Bing, director of the Experiment Center, and teachers Hu Yuan and Gong Siying, the volunteers prepared the ice cubes in an orderly manner and loaded them into foam boxes for transportation to the testing sites.

At the nucleic acid testing site of The Primary School Attached to Central China Normal University in the North District, Party Secretary Zheng Ning and Deputy Secretary Liu Yang were there to guide the work and expressed their affirmation and support for the work of the volunteers, as well as their concern for teachers and students to do their own safety protection work. At the nucleic acid testing site in the basketball court of the East District, two teams, our nucleic acid testing volunteer team and the "Send Coolth" volunteer team, were on the front line, helping the medical staff to do a good job of on-site nucleic acid testing.

In the activity of "Sending Coolness to Fight against Epidemic", our students and teachers went to five nucleic acid testing sites, namely, the open-air movie field of Guizishan Campus, the Primary School Attached to Central China Normal University in the North District, the basketball court of West District, the Xuezi Dining Hall basketball court of East District and the gymnasium of Nanhu Campus, and distributed more than 80 boxes of cooling ice cubes to send the coolness of summer to the medical staff of our university for nucleic acid testing, and also sent the warm blessings of School of Life Science.

Liu Yang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Tang Jiaqi, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, and Zhou Quan, the teacher of the Experiment Center, and others helped to carry the supplies
At the testing site of the open-air movie field and the testing site of the Nanhu Gymnasium, Liu Yang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Tang Jiaqi, secretary of the Youth League Committee, and Zhou Quan, teacher of the Experimental Center, delivered cooling ice and 5 cases of chilled functional drinks for the medical staff and volunteers on site, and offered condolences to our student volunteers who participated in the field work.
It is reported that in this round of epidemic prevention and control work, there are 13 remaining graduate students and 3 remaining undergraduates in our college as volunteers to support the nucleic acid testing work, this group of lovely volunteers is the best portrayal of biology people who dare to take responsibility and dedication.
