On the evening of September 5, the returning students from class 2018, 2019 and 2020 of School of Information Management had their first centralized roll call at Nanhu Complex Building, aiming to summarize the past and look forward to the new semester. For this late roll call at the beginning of the school year, the main content of the three grades were jointly divided into two sections: Past Summary and Future Development.
The first focus was a review and summary of the previous school year. Each grade listed the grade ranking data as a way to analyze the academic status of students in each grade and to point out the shortcomings. The classes of 2019 and 2020 focused on the importance of academic performance, while the class of 2018 focused more on the statistics of students' graduation destinations.
In addition, the second highlight was the sharing of the wonderful summer life of the students of Classes 2018 and 2020, and the counselor of Class 2018, Lu Wang, pointed out that the summer just ended was the last summer vacation of the students of Class 2018 during their undergraduate years, and the students of the graduation year should think more deeply about their future planning.

Some students participated in the summer teaching activities of the College's Light Chasing Practice Team, some stayed on campus for an internship in e-commerce sales, and some participated in scientific research and competitions. The students' active participation in the rich summer practice activities is a vivid example of using various resources and actively exploring the development path of the university.
Jiang Keming, the counselor of Class 2020, summarized the freshman year and the recent important matters such as medical insurance payment, academic year summary, leave system, epidemic prevention and fraud prevention, etc. He hoped that the students of Class 2020 would have a proper attitude, plan their college life and spend a colorful college time.

The third part focuses on precautions for the new school year, where epidemic prevention is the mainstream and fraud prevention, fire prevention and theft prevention should also be kept in mind. Grade 2019 and 2020 counselors both emphasized the school's epidemic prevention system and requirements for the new semester, striving to do a good job of managing behavior under epidemic prevention and control to ensure a safe and stable learning and living environment for teachers and students.
In addition, considering that college students are the main targets of fraud, all three grades repeatedly emphasized the importance of fraud prevention and highlighted the National Anti-Fraud Center APP to strengthen fraud prevention awareness.

The fourth point unfolded in the perspective of future development. All grades emphasize on correcting attitudes and carrying out the work for the better learning in the beginning of the school year. Counselor Xiao Lixia of Class 2019 pointed out that cherishing the present moment will lead to better future development. In the new semester, students should strictly abide by classroom discipline, collect materials for merit evaluation and prepare for competition; meanwhile, pay attention to personal mental health, raise awareness of self-psychological, pay attention to and solve psychological problems in time, and meet life and work challenges with a good attitude.
