He pointed out that the preparatory work for the opening of the school was running stably and smoothly, and certain achievements and breakthroughs had been made in the research of foreign subjects, the adjustment of teaching staff, the construction of major, the construction of disciplinary infrastructure, the construction of the grassroots organizations of the party and other aspects. However, at the same time, the school needed to solve the bottleneck and difficulties in improving the quality of graduate students, hiring high-level professors, and applying for national social science projects.

At the same time, Peng Tao also pointed out the shortcomings of the school in the construction of first-class majors, which were the structure of teachers, the imbalance between the development of traditional majors and new majors, and the construction of laboratories.

Yu Fasheng briefly summarized the graduate students and discipline construction, as well as the development of the school in scientific research in recent years. In view of how to further ensure the quality of the graduate students, he specifically mentioned the measures of "strictly control the entrance" and "strictly control the process", which meant that the school could improve the research potential and learning ability of graduate students by adjusting the examination content of graduate students and carrying out a series of lectures on academic paper writing. Yu Fasheng hoped that the school was to make further progress in major projects, major awards and the total number of papers published in authoritative journals in the future.

As of this morning, the number of undergraduates was 364, while 311 students had arrived to the school; The number of graduate students should be 148, but actually 85 students had arrived.
