The Voice of CCNU From 15th to 19th July, the College of Physical Science and Technology held parent-teacher conferences for all grades of undergraduates through online meetings, which were attended by more than 1,000 parents of students. Wu Shaoping, Vice President of the College, and Ma Ying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, participated in the meetings and communicated with parents on the summary of the work of the semester and the outlook of the work of the next semester by grades. The parents' meeting had a good response among the parents of all grades, who generally believed that the meeting helped parents understand the work of the school and the college in a comprehensive and detailed way, and provided a direction for the next step of how parents play their roles, and how to promote the healthy development of students through the joint efforts of the school and the family.

Liu Jinrui, the counsellor of 2022 teacher training major, and Song Xinjie, the counsellor of non-teacher training major, introduced the construction of class groups, academic style, mental health education work, daily management and other work in the last semester, and explained the relevant arrangements for the summer holiday. We hope that parents will make full use of the holiday to communicate with their students, sum up the learning and life situation of the last academic year, and do a good job in personal career planning. At the same time, the two counsellors talked about the hope that parents can pay more attention to the emotional and psychological state of students, encourage students to participate in scientific research and training, and pay attention to their own safety on the premise of the various types of practical platforms provided by the school and the college to show their style and progress and growth.
Jiang Chunyong, the counsellor of Class 2021 Teacher Training Major, summarized the work focuses since one semester, combined with specific cases and detailed data, exchanged views on the teaching content and academic performance in this semester, and gave targeted suggestions. Jiang Chunyong led the parents to have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the students' growth experience and rich campus life from three aspects: the basic situation of the profession, the construction of the class and group, and the leadership of the academic style. He also helped the parents to further understand the college's philosophy of "student-oriented" by focusing on the work of mental health and financial support. Liu Qi, a non-teaching counsellor, summed up the work of the semester and stressed the necessity for students to continue to strengthen their cultivation and exercise in terms of study, daily safety, mindset adjustment and living habits during the summer holidays, reminding parents to fulfil their supervisory responsibilities.

2020 teacher training counsellor Wang Di and non-teacher training counsellor Cheng Tian reported on the work of the third semester and summarized the work priorities of this semester. Taking into account the current situation of Grade 20 teacher training students who are about to face employment, Wang Di reported on the pre-employment work, such as the 17 provincial job-seeking experience-sharing sessions and the series of competitions of the Excellent Teacher Training Program, etc., and put forward the idea of "Promoting high quality and full employment through joint efforts of families and schools". Taking into account the current situation of Grade 20 non-teacher training students who are about to graduate for further studies or employment, Narita focused on the College's initiatives to help students realize their dreams of further studies this semester.
Ma Ying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, and Wu Shaoping, Vice President of the College, attended the parents' meetings of each grade respectively. During the communication with parents, Ma Ying emphasised that students in the lower grades should maintain an unrelenting learning attitude and continue to consolidate their studies, so as to lay a solid foundation for future employment and further studies. At the same time, parents must know and understand their children's inner emotional needs and pay attention to parent-child communication. When encountering problems, they should face them together and try to solve them effectively. For students who will enter the fourth year of college, Ma Ying informed parents about the graduation and employment situation of the 2023 undergraduate graduates. Combined with cases, she hoped that parents and children would raise the importance of graduation qualification examination. In terms of employment concepts, she hoped that students would do their best to prepare for the exams but also need to prepare for both. Ma Ying explained to parents the school's policies on graduation and employment, as well as the issues they should pay attention to in parent-child communication. Wu Shaoping hoped that parents would continue to pay attention to the talent training and career development of the college, and that the school and family would work together to build a positive and benign parenting synergy to escort the healthy development of all students.
